Land Trusts and Watershed Groups

IERS has assisted land trusts and local watershed groups with implementing their mission of environmental protection and restoration. IERS has helped groups plan, design, and construct a range of watershed restoration and improvement projects. Additionally, IERS has assisted in developing educational materials to assist in protecting valuable resources. Recently, IERS helped develop the Sierra Yard and Garden Guide on behalf of the Sierra Nevada Alliance and a Best Management Practices (BMP) training program for the Truckee River Watershed Council in Truckee, CA.

    Integrated Environmental Restoration Services, Inc. (IERS) was the prime contractor in the development of the Sierra Nevada Yard and Garden Guide. This public document is designed to assist homeowners in developing and maintaining a healthy landscape in the Sierra.

  • Negro Canyon Watershed Assessment and Restoration Project Design
  • Truckee River Watershed Council Contractor Best Management Practices Training
    Client: Truckee River Watershed Council
    Client Sector: Non-profit
    Integrated Environmental Restoration Services, Inc. (IERS) contracted with Truckee River Watershed Council (TRWC) to develop and implement Best Management Practices (BMP) trainings for residential contractors in the Truckee-Tahoe region. This training, funded by the California State Water Resources Control Board, was designed to educate private contractors on methods of planning and implementing water quality BMPs on their projects. IERS worked cooperatively with both the TRWC and a building contractors association to develop this training, which was attended by more than 200 contractors in the Truckee-Tahoe region.

  • Ski Area Sediment Source Control Handbook
  • Wolf Creek Community Alliance Monitoring Maps
    Client: Wolf Creek Community Alliance
    Client Sector: Non-profit
    This project converted monitoring data, specifically site locations and bacterial counts, into a GIS database format. From this database, map development provided an increased understanding of spatial relationships within the dataset. Mr. Dion developed the GIS database and maps.
